Culture and Health Portfolio

The purpose of this portfolio was to capture the various sociocultural factors affecting health throughout the study abroad experience. PhotoVoice and Blog assignments document photographs and reflections on health-related topics. This portfolio serves as professional documentation for Culture and Health study abroad in Italy.

Culture & Health Course

I had the opportunity to participate in the development of the course HSC 4950: Culture and Health before students arrived in Italy. I assisted in the design of 9 module pages, PhotoVoice and Reflection Blog assignments, weekly announcements, quiz banks, and lecture materials.

Select for Career Chat interview

During my internship at the Gulfcoast South Area Health Education Center (GSAHEC), I had the opportunity to facilitate the first Urology Career Chat video for GSAHEC's Recruitment and Educational Assistance for Careers in Health (REACH) Programs. Career Chat videos enable students to learn from experienced health professionals, increase their knowledge about health careers, and motivate them to develop effective short and long-term educational and career plans.
